O Father in heaven, I ask that you gladden and refresh my spirit. 

Purify my heart and mind so that I may be at one with you. 

Even when I am beset by troubles and despair, 

guide me toward your light and be my refuge. 

Through you, I no longer feel sorrow or grief. 

In your love, I can rejoice in everlasting happiness and joy. 

I will place my anxieties at your feet 

in the knowledge that you gave me each struggle 

so that I may triumph and learn. 

You are more of a friend to me than I am to myself.

Prayers for the Circosta Family

It is with great sadness that the College heard the news that Mrs Tara Circosta passed away last Saturday following a long illness. We offer our sincere sympathy and support to Mr Ross Circosta and Emilio who is in Year 6. The service for Tara will be held this Friday and we ask all the Pius community to pray for Ross, Emilio and their family.

May perpetual light shine upon her, and may she rest in peace.

HSC Exams Continue

The HSC continues in good order at Oxford Falls. The papers have been challenging but the students and their teachers feel that they have generally been fair.

All students have been present and doing their best. I congratulate Year 12 and continue to pray for their success.

Building Update

I share very good news with you that B Wing will be completed by 22 December! It is looking very good and I am delighted with this progress.

The Learning Hub is progressing close to schedule and the demolition stages are almost complete. 

Portrait of Blessed Edmund Rice

Mr Steve Todd, the Principal of MacKillop College, Warnervale has painted a very powerful and reflective portrait of Blessed Edmund Rice for St Pius X College. I share this with you and the reflection from Mr Todd himself on Edmund.

The portrait will be hung in the College Chapel.

I congratulate and thank Mr Steve Todd on this painting. Those who may know Mr Todd will be aware that he is retiring this year from MacKillop College and we wish him every success into the future. Mr Todd will be focussing his attention towards his artistic endeavours. He is indeed very talented.

Mr John Couani - Principal
