Boarding News

Mrs. Kathryn Searle - Head of Boarding

This week the Australian Boarding Schools Association (ABSA) has spent time in our Boarding House conducting a review. Part of the review process was looking at our structure in readiness to welcome boys from Year 7, 2023.

ABSA is as excited as we are to have girls and boys living and learning together, sharing some common areas such as the dining room, laundry and prep, with the boys residing in their own separate area with their own entry.

Our co-educational Boarding House will provide boys and girls with valuable opportunities to learn from each other socially as well as intellectually and will prepare your child for big-picture goals like success in university. We will create an environment where boys and girls will learn to get on, as in the real world, and will prepare students to be positive and progressive global citizens.

Of course, you can trust that students will still be safe, secure and well taken care of as they are now.

As we head into our last weekend of the school year, the following activities are planned, weather permitting:

Friday 26 November

  • After School: Year 7 End of Year Get Together
  • Evening: Eat Street

Saturday 27 November

  • Chermside Shopping Outing
