Primary Presentation Day
Thank you to the parents and carers who joined us in celebrating our students’ learning and achievements. I am sure those of you in attendance would agree it was a wonderful display of their talents. We are fortunate the children are supported by so many amazing teachers throughout their Primary schooling.
Our Primary School Captains for 2022 were also announced, congratulations to Myra Dhingra and Savaana Kapur.
Year 6 Celebration Chapel
On Friday, 26 November, Year 6 students and parents/caregivers have been invited to an end of year Celebration Chapel commencing at 5:00 pm. All Year 6 students are to assemble in the rose garden near Circular Drive at 4:45 pm. Please ensure your daughters are wearing their formal uniform for this special occasion. Due to the inclement weather, the celebration after the Chapel Service will be held in the Lower LRC.
House Leaders / Sports Captains 2022
On Monday 29 November, Year 5 students who have nominated for a House Leader position will present a 2 minute speech to their House group at the start of the school day. Year 5 students who have nominated for a Sports Captain position will meet with Mrs. Corness and Mrs. Richardson for a short interview after lunch. The successful applicants will be announced at the End of Year Assembly on Friday, 3 December. We wish all students the very best in their quest for a leadership position.
Christmas Carols Service
Please join our College community for the Christmas Carols Service on Tuesday, 30 November, from 6:00 pm in the Assembly Hall. The Service will run for approximately 45 minutes and be followed by drinks and light refreshments for purchase. Piccolo Choir, Campo delle Voci and various Secondary students will be performing on the night. Please register your attendance through the link on this invitation.
We will be supporting UnitingCare Foster and Kinship Care with their Christmas appeal on this evening. Please bring along Christmas gifts that will be donated to children in the Brisbane region. Please refer to the below link for more details.
Final Day Arrangements
Friday 3 December 2021
School will finish for the year for all students (Pre-Prep to Year 11), on Friday 3 December at 12:50 pm. Primary student collection is as follows:
Pre-Prep collection from classroom at 12:50 pm
Prep to Year 2 collection from Circular Drive 12:40 pm-12:50 pm
Years 3 to 4 and sibling’s collection from Circular Drive 12:50 pm - 1:00 pm
Years 5 to 6 collection from Bayview Terrace 12:50 pm-1:00 pm
(Circular Drive only if they have a younger sibling)
End of Year Assembly and Class Parties
The Primary End of Year Assembly will commence at 8:40 am through to approximately 10:00 am in the Hall. This Assembly will be a celebration of all that has been achieved this year including the announcement of our House Leaders and Sports Captains for 2022, farewelling our Year 6 students and some festive cheer. All students who have participated in Primary sport this year will also be acknowledged.
Students are to wear their school uniform on the last day of term; however, may add a Christmas accessory.
Attendance at the End of Year Assembly is for: Two parents of a student being announced with a 2022 leadership position.
Invitations to these parents will be emailed, with a separate RSVP. One parent per family, Pre-Prep to Year 6.

Upon arrival, all attendees must complete the Check-in Qld app.
Following this Assembly, students will return to their classroom for end of year class parties. Correspondence regarding class parties will be communicated by your child’s classroom teacher in due course.

The 2022 Booklists are available for online ordering with Campion Education. Please go to campion.com.au and use the code: WG2T. The due date for orders is Wednesday, 8 December, to guarantee delivery before the start of Term 1.

Primary Sports and Andrews Cup Notices
Andrews Cup Term 4 Presentations (Athletics, Basketball, Gymnastics)
Please be advised the Andrews Cup Term 4 Presentations (including Athletics from Term 3), will be held on Tuesday 30 November, 11:55 am – 12:20 pm in the Chapel. One parent of a student receiving an award will be permitted to attend this event. Invitations to parents have been emailed.
