Notizie Italiane

Buongiorno a tutti!

Natale is almost upon us and this week is our last week of Italian. That means it is time for our Semester Italian Awards. These awards are presented based on the number of pegs students have earned over the semester. White pegs are given when students participate and have a go in class, and when they spontaneously use Italian. Blue pegs are given for a range of above-and-beyond things, such as making connections between Italian and English, or in remote learning, for going the extra mile with activities.

Here are the award winners in each class for Semester Two:

  • PA: Oscar, Elizabeth, Xavier, Harriet, Gabriel, Connor, Veronica
  • 1/2K: April, Charlie, Zahra, Noah
  • 1/2L: Emily, Nat, Noah, Hossein, Niamh, Audrey, Jeremy
  • 3/4ES: Harry, Zoe, Georgiana, Noah, Mabel
  • 3/4C: Asher Rose, Nicola, Ellyse, Samantha, Max
  • 5/6BP: Emily, Nathan, Alicia, Adrian, Jack, Raf
  • 5/6A: Eloise, Jacob, Jaime, Indi, Eden

This week, we are exploring Italian Christmas traditions, including learning about Babbo Natale in prep and looking at shopping, food and traditions in Years 5 and 6. It has been an absolute pleasure watching students grow in their knowledge of Italian language and their confidence to use it this year.

Buon Natale!
