School pride shines at inter-school swimming carnivals

The St Mary's College Junior Swim Team participated in the JSSATIS and STCPSSA carnivals recently, displaying great enthusiasm and representing the College with immense pride.

Amazingly, at the STCSSA swimming carnival, every SMC swimmer came home with at least two ribbons, which is a fantastic result.

Maya Bearman (Year 6) won the Bill Henderson Memorial Shield, which is awarded to the stand out female and male Year 6 swimmers of the carnival.

Well done to all swimmers at both carnivals for representing the College so well—we are very proud.

A big thank you to Kylie Anderson, Anna and Adrian Beach, Mareesa Bearman, Irena Marin and Mel Prichard for helping out at the JSSATIS carnival as an official.

Basketball 1st grade win

Sports enthusiasts and supporters were treated to a stellar performance by our 1st Grade basketball team, who won the Southern SATIS grand final on Wednesday 24 March.

The players battled it out, challenged for the ball and finished strong to take out the win against St Michael's Collegiate School, 41–13. What an exciting game!

We wish the team the very best of luck for their state final tomorrow morning at 9.55am against Marist Regional College.
