Authorised Bus Travel

There have been some issues with students arriving at the Baimbridge College Bus Interchange and getting on buses for casual travel with no bus passes presented. 

These passes are issued by respective schools. In this instance, drivers, legally, should not allow students onto buses unless parent permission is given and a bus pass issued.

Live4Life Report (Community Youth Mental Health initiative)

Some Monivae College Year 10 students were members of the Live4Life Crew in 2020, and recently participated in a Crew lunch at the Hamilton Botanical Gardens. According to organisers, “students were well organised, engaging and represented your schools and Live4Life to a very high standard.”

“The students had the opportunity to get to know one another, discuss their approaches to recruiting new Crew members from Year 9 in 2021 and brainstorm what they would like to focus on this year.”

Monivae College Crew members were: Klay Collins, Ruby Kent, Daylin Plush, Sophie Button, Ella Shelden and Matilda Hutchison.

Alteration to Uniform Policy

From Term Two, the option of girls wearing a white pearl earring (no larger than 6mm) has been added to the Uniform Policy. This section of the policy now reads:

“Girls may wear one plain silver or gold stud or sleeper, or a white pearl earring (n larger than 6mm) in the lobe of each ear…”
