A Snapshot of Learning in 5/6S

This week, the Grade 5/6 students were involved in an excursion to the Immigration Museum. The students built on their knowledge of Australia's Immigration History and explored themes of migration, identity, citizenship and community through multiple perspectives. The students also explored Australia's immigration history through a walking tour of the Sandridge Bridge. The travellers and the ten periods of Australian Migration were experienced on the walk. Each of the ten Travellers figures represented a period of migration to Australia. It was a day full of learning and delving deeper into Victoria’s immigration history. Here are some photos of our experiences as we explored the different journeys to Australia.
