Much excitement in the library as we took delivery of ten new book browser bins for the Picture Story collection. The old metal shelves (see banner picture) have gone to be replaced by the more user-friendly boxes. It also means we now have wall space to display artwork and posters.  Many thanks to the library leaders in moving the collection.

The boxes were purchased using the Readathon money raised by the school community last year so another huge thank you to all of you who took part.

The boxes are mobile and double-sided, which will provide great flexibility with library layout in a future space.

Book Club issue 3 (deadline Monday, May 10)

Thank you for your patience regarding delivery of issue 2. Scholastic advise problems experienced at their warehouse are now fixed. Issue 3 catalogue has been distributed and deadline for orders is Monday, May 10.

Simultaneous Story Time...from space! Wednesday, May 19, 11am

National Simultaneous Storytime (NSS) is held annually by the Australian Library and Information Association (ALIA). Every year a picture book, written and illustrated by an Australian author and illustrator, is read simultaneously in libraries, schools, pre-schools, childcare centres, family homes, bookshops and many other places around the country.

This year NSS 2021 book (Give me some space by Philip Bunting) is  being read by the astronaut Dr Shannon Walker live from the International Space Station.

The library has registered for the event and more details will follow.
