Year 9 Food Technology Elective

 

Year 9 Around the World in Tasty Ways Elective students, have been preparing food from different cuisines for Semester One. In Week 7 they tried their hand at Italian cuisine by making Spinach and ricotta ravioli with burnt butter and sage sauce. 

It was a very busy cooking lesson: making the dough, rolling of pasta, making the sauce and cleaning up, but students did an amazing job and enjoyed the experience. Students have also made Strawberry & chocolate crepes and Quiche Lorraine while exploring the French cuisine. 

They are now looking forward to making Greek doughnuts and Lamingtons in the coming weeks.
