Year 7 & 8 - Journey to University 

The Latrobe University School Partnerships Program held events on May 8th for Year 7 and 8. Our Year 7 cohort took part in Uni Buddies. Students listened to university students, from the Shepparton campus, talk about their journey to university who then held a round-robin of different activities to help students understand what further study is about.

This does not always include university but could include Tafe, apprenticeships or employment. Our Year 8 students took part in The Graduate Game, playing a life sized board game and answering questions to progress. A fun day was had by all. Many thanks Dani Gow and her Latrobe team.

Indigenous Development

Connor from the University of Melbourne, Murrup Barak, Melbourne Institute for Indigenous Development, popped in for a session with some of our Year 10-12 students. He discussed opportunities and what students might expect from life at University.

Defence Force

The Defence Force presented at lunchtime on Thursday 2nd May. Their visit generated great interest and lots of questions from students about future opportunities available to them. Many thanks Defence recruiting team.
