SCIENCE

2016 Science Week -
Droids, Drones & Robots
The week started with “Old Skool” programming! Students were guided to collect goodies from their friends giving them a total of 12 commands of STOP, LEFT, RIGHT etc.
Thank you to Ms Barr for making an awesome robot head in record time.
We were also given the experience of deep water diving from Mr Vallance and Mr Carr in the yard at recess.
The students were immersed in a world of virtual reality, using Google Cardboard. Thank you Mr Stebbing.
Year 12 Psychology
In Year 12 Psychology this week, students were learning about Bandura's Theoryof Observational Learning by demonstrating their own ability to learn how to make an origami frog.
They related this to the principles of Observational Learning;
- Attention
- Retention
- Reproduction
- Motivation
- Reinforcement
They found it quite "ribbeting".
