Year 12 English

Exam Preparation

It starts NOW!

Our Year 12 students were lucky enough to participate in an afterschool lecture on Thursday 11 August, held by VCAA Examiner, Ross Huggard.

Ross provided students with a range of tips and strategies about approaching the English Examination and how to best prepare for it.

With just one SAC remaining, students need to be thinking more broadly and putting thought towards how they will best prepare themselves for the all-important exam.

In line with students’ preparations for the English exam, a practice examination has been set that will take place on September 15 in the School Hall, during the 3 Way Conferences day.

This exam will be sent to an experienced VCAA assessor who will provide a score out of ten and some brief feedback for students.

Please be aware that some students still need to make payment for this day through Compass.

Year 12

After School SAC

A reminder to parents and guardians of our Year 12 students, that the final SAC for the year will take place on Friday 2 September, from 3:05 pm to 4:45 pm.

Writing Folio

Second Semester Progress

With only four weeks remaining of this term, it may be timely to have a conversation with your son or daughter about their progress with the writing folio program for this semester.

Students from Years 7 to 9 are to complete a set amount of ‘polished pieces’ by the end of the year.  So, Term 3 is a great chance to ensure that students are on track to meet this goal.
