Year 7 Wellbeing and Resilience

It has been another busy fortnight for the Year 7 cohort. Over the last fortnight they have participated in a Home Group activity with an Olympic theme.

All students viewed a short clip which focused on the moto “Yes I Can”. It was a very inspiring video that demonstrated the importance of determination and the desire to succeed. The video link is outlined below for all those to watch at home.

It is our goal as a Year 7 team to continue to build the resilience and wellbeing of our students.

The Home Group activities have been a wonderful way to help inspire and build the confidence of the young adults at Lilydale High School.

Year 7 Attendance Ladder

A reminder to all students that every Year 7 Home Group is competing for a pizza lunch at the end of term.

The Home Group with the best attendance will be announced in the final week of this term. The current leading Home Group is 748.

Year 7

Student Success

Last weekend, Jarryn Stephenson (747) was one of the youngest junior umpires to umpire a 'Junior Grand Final' for the EFL.

Jarryn also umpired the game with his mum Allison, as a Boundary umpire.  It’s a real privilege for him as it was only his first year of umpiring.

Congralutations and well done Jarryn!

Supper Club Mondays

Thank you to the Year 8 boys who participated in Supper Club Mondays last week. The vegetable curry was a sell out!

Well done to Jack Allen, Reice Brown, Daniel Fritsch and Kieren Gibson for an outstanding effort and result.

Next week the boys will be serving up Spinach Fettuccine with Basil Napoli Sauce!

Miss Stavrou

Year 8

Student Sucess

John-Paul Cooper (8.61) is currently in China playing in an International Soccer tournament! Fantastic work John-Paul!

We can’t wait until you get back so we can hear all about your experience.

Congratulations, from all of Year 8 and the Year 8 Coordinators.

2017 Year 9 Course Selection

All Year 8 students should have now completed their online course selection for 2017.

If your son or daughter has not yet handed in their printed online form (signed by a parent/guardian) to the Middle School Coordinators Office, they need to do this as soon as possible.
