General Information

Well Done to the Class of 2017!
Whilst most students were beginning their holidays at the end of 2017, our year 12 students we eagerly awaiting their VCE results. We held a morning tea on 'Results Day' (15 December) where we celebrated with them. As you will be aware from our sign out the front, Grace Watson was our Dux for 2017, achieving a very impressive 95.3, she was closely followed by Sean Venten on 95.25.
We are very proud of all of our Year 12s, many of whom are now working or about to embark on their next journey of further study. 84% of our students received their first choice, as a result, we are well represented at Swinburne, Monash and Deakin Universities in 2018. Now we get ready to do it all again!
Let's Go Class of 2018!
2018 will see several of our Year 12s undertaking University courses (HES) as part of their VCE. These subjects include Criminology (Deakin), International Studies (Monash), Disability, Diversity and Inclusion (Deakin), Introduction to University (Fed Uni), Business Management (Fed Uni) and Determinants of Health (Deakin).
We also have in our midst a group of pioneers! This year BHCS will be running VCAL (Intermediate) for the first time, we plan to then offer Intermediate and Senior VCAL in 2019. Our final years' program is as diverse as our students and we celebrate with each of them as we journey to help them achieve their very best. Any questions regarding any of our VCE, HES or VCAL programs can be directed to Vicky Fraanje.

2017 Yearbook
We've had some requests from families who would like to purchase extra copies of the 2017 Yearbook. These will be available, with limited stock, from Reception for $5.00. First in best dressed. Payment can be made by Cash or EFTPOS.
Student Banking
The School has two student banking options available to students of all ages.
Bendigo Bank offers a great student banking program that is suitable for students from Junior School to Senior School. The Commonwealth Bank also offers their Dollarmites student banking program.
Student banking day will now be on a Tuesday. Bank books for either program can be handed into Reception on Monday or Tuesday mornings. Once the bank books have been processed, they will be returned to Reception. Students will then be able collect their bank book from Reception on Wednesday.
Should a child not collect their bank book on a Wednesday, it will simply remain in Reception within a secure location until they do collect it. We hope that by having the children collect their own bank books, this will help them to learn responsibility, while reducing the likelihood of the bank books going missing.
More information regarding the two student banking programs can be obtained from Reception.
