Laurita Humbert
What you are teaching/excited about this year?
I will be a learning assistant in grade 5/6 this year. I am looking forward to getting to know all the children and to learn more about the middle school.
What did you do previously?
Last year I worked in the canteen at BHCS.
What you do for fun?
I love the beach, exploring new places in Australia (especially near the beach), kayak fishing and going for long walks.
Sarah Sweeney
What you are teaching/excited about this year?
I am very excited be in Mr Torcasio's 2/3 class as the integration aide.
What did you do previously?
I was previously an Early Childhood Teacher.
What you do for fun?
I love to read, go to the movies and catch up with friends for coffee. I love spending time with my husband and three beautiful children. We enjoy walks, bike riding, playing board games and going to the beach.
Caleb Rouse
What you are teaching/excited about this year?
I'll be helping out with marketing for the first 6 months of this year. I'm very excited to work with Sarah and Caroline on our social media, and see how our online presence develops over the next few months.
What did you do previously?
For the last two years I've been studying a Bachelor of Business at Swinburne University of Technology, majoring in Marketing and International Business. I hope to return to Swinburne and finish my degree following my time at BHCS!
What you do for fun?
I'm a big soccer fan - I've been a Melbourne Victory member for 11 years. I also enjoy keeping fit, eating good food, and I like to unwind by playing the occasional game of FIFA.
Linnea Norton
What you are teaching/excited about this year?
I'll be helping out in Year 9. I am looking forward to getting to know you all and to be working in such a beautiful environment.
What did you do previously?
I have worked in Admin and Retail. I have also worked as a volunteer at a couple of places but I am most proud of my work at a Pregnancy and Early Parenting Support Center.
What you do for fun?
I like camping, bush walking and art/craft projects.
Kristy Gay
What you are teaching/excited about this year?
Education Support in VCAL and Yr 10. I am excited to be able to work with the kids. Getting to support and encourage our students, within this very unique position, to be all that God has all them to be. It's a real privilege.
What did you do previously?
I was working at Brisbane Christian College as the Administration Assistant to the Head of Middle School, Teacher Aide in Middle School and a Student Physical Aide to one boy within our school. Several hats and I loved it all!
What you do for fun?
I love spending time with my family and friends, drinking coffee and anything musical.

What you are teaching/excited about this year?
I am a learning assistant in Year 8 and I am very excited to be able to know all the children and my colleagues.
What did you do previously?
I was a teacher in Romania, where I am from.
What you do for fun?
I like a lot to play games with my son and enjoy the beautiful landscape of Victoria.
Janet Nyhouse
What you are teaching/excited about this year?
The most fun role in the whole school is Reception! ....and I get the honour of fulfilling this role on Mondays and Tuesdays. Hooray! What a total joy to support the teaching and learning for this beautiful community. I'm so looking forward to all the smiling faces that visit Reception and to getting to know the incredible students and parents of BHCS.
What did you do previously?
My most recent previous employment was serving as Services & Events Pastor for my local church. Before this, I spent many years with another Christian School community, serving as Community Relations, Executive Assistant and Office Manager..... I also now enjoy running my own Event Management business when I'm not here at BHCS.
What you do for fun?
All of life is fun! I love to plan and run events for any and every occasion, go on adventures, play crazy games with my family, and spend considerable effort enhancing my shoe collection.
Caroline Chudasko
What you are teaching/excited about this year?
This year I will be wearing many hats! Together with providing administrative support to the Registrar, Partnership Program and working with Marketing Team I will be coordinating the weekly newsletter.
What did you do previously?
Prior to joining the BHCS Team I've worked in a number of varied industries performing Human Resource Management and Administrative duties.
What you do for fun?
I love spending time with my family snowboarding, camping, going to the beach and playing tennis (or trying to!)
Austin Rule
What are you teaching/excited about this year?
This is the 5th time I have answered this question and my response changes every time! So my role is an all over the shop role which takes me everywhere in the school.
I am a trainee who will be working predominantly in Middle School supporting the staff & students but I will also be involved in other year levels helping out where needed. Hanging out with the kids and encouraging them is why I’m here. When I went to school here I had an awesome experience and now I want kids to have a just as awesome experience, so i made it my job!
What did you do previously?
Previously I was the CEO of an upcoming large business, nah not really rather I just finished year twelve and am now having my gap year which includes working at BHCS.
What you do for fun?
For fun I will go out skating! But when I’m not skating I like to go for walks, adventures, seeing friends, reading my Bible and last but not least surfing.
