This week has seen students in our Year 7 & 8 Academic Achievers classes as well our Year 9 students sit their End of Year exams. We have been really pleased with the manner in which our students have prepared themselves for these exams.
Our Year 7 & 8 Academic Achievers sat 45 minutes exams for English, Maths, Science, SOSE and LOTE (German)
Our Year 9 students sat 90 minutes exams for English, Maths, Science and SOSE.
Subject teachers are currently marking these exams, and will be able to offer feedback to the students early next week. The results for these exams will also be discussed in the students Semester Two reports.
End of Year Activities
On Wednesday 10 to Friday 12 December we will be running our end of year activity program for students within Years 7 to 9. During Wednesday and Thursday we will be running a number of whole day and half day activities. Students are asked to sign up for even one whole day activity each day or two half day activities. On Friday we will be running our annual Beach day excursion. Sign up for the activities is based on a first come first served basis within each year level.
Students are able to sign up for these activities and return excursion forms during lunch time on specific days.
Tuesday – Year 7 Students
Wednesday – Year 8 Students
Thursday – Year 9 Students
The final day for sign up for any activities will be Friday 5th December. No further excursion forms or money will be accepted after this date.
In order to sign up for an activity, Each student must fill in all aspects of the excursion form and activity table. All details must be filled in particularly parent signatures, medical information and contact details. Each student must bring their forms AND the money for the activities they wish to the sign up desk which is outside the school office on the days identified.
We do not sign up students that do not have their forms completed correctly nor do we sign students up for activities if they can’t pay for them then and there. Spare copies of the End of Year activities and excursion forms are available from the front office.
Any student who has not consistently met the behavioural expectations of the college, or had more than two days suspensions this semester, will not be allowed to participate in any out-of-school excursions as part of the end of year activities.
2015 Booklists Year 8 to 10

Students in Year 8, Year 9 and Year 10 in 2015 can find details of which subjects they have selected for 2015 posted on the wall in their locker areas.
If you need assistance in completing the booklist for your child, please do not hesitate to contact the Year Level Co-ordinators or myself at the college.
