Student Achievements 

Audrey, 56M

Audrey participated in Judo competitions over the past 2 weekends. She got silver at Sydney International Open (23/2) and gold at Judo Victoria inaugural tournament for 2020 (1/3). Congratulations Audrey!

Misha, 56H

Misha in 5/6H participated in the Victoria Karate League 1st competition of the season on 23rd Feb, and won gold medals for Kata (martial arts movements) and Kumite (sparring) in the Development Division.

She also tried for the first time in Elite Division in her age and weight level and won a silver medal in Kumite.

One week later on 1st March, she participated in the Victoria State Championship for the first time. She competed in three events. Synchronised Kata (Misha and 2 girls from her club executed synchronised Kata moves), and individual Kata and Kumite.

She finished with a 3rd place in Sync Kata, a 4th place in individual Kata, and in Kumite placed 2nd.

 As a result of her performance in the State Championships she was selected to join the Victoria State Squad for 2020. She won places in the Squad for Sync Kata and Kumite, and received a special invitation to also join the individual Kata team.

From now on she will be practising hard with other state squad members every Saturday, as well as with her club mates from Monday to Friday evenings.  Misha is looking forward to be selected to go National Championship coming up in July in Perth. Congratulations Misha!
