A Few Reminders and Considerations

Bookings

As our enrollments continue to grow over the year, the Afternoon Program is often in high demand.  We have three sessions that are already at capacity, so please be aware that we may not be able to accommodate casual bookings on Wed, Thur or Fri afternoons.

Changes to Complying Written Agreement

When making changes to your child's current bookings which were made at your 'Meet & Greet' session or a continuation from the previous year, two weeks notice must be given to reducing days or sessions.  When two week's notice is not given, accounts will be charged.

Allowable Absences

Under current CCS regulations, families are entitled to 52 Allowable Absences til June 30. This means that CCS will be applied to accounts in a child's absence.  Beyond 52, evidence must be provided for why your child did not attend.  Absences account for any session within the day that a child does not attend, but only accumulates to one absence per day.

For example:

  1. Daily booking of Before Care and Educational.  Child does not attend Before Care = 1 allowable absence.
  2. Daily booking of Before Care, Educational and After Care.  Child is collected early and does not attend After Care = 1 allowable absence.
  3. Daily booking of all sessions.  Child does not attend the full day = 1 allowable absence.

Public Holidays

Accounts are charged for Public Holidays, except for when they fall within the School Holiday Program.  As families can nominate when their child/ren attend, the Public Holidays are not available for attendance and therefore not charged.

Swapping Days/Holidays

As our Service allows for families to have their child/ren not attend without charge for up to 9 weeks per year (Summer, Term 1, 2 & 3 School Holidays), we do not offer swaps to nominated days.  Parents can contact the Director regarding any leave that extends two weeks.  For example - surgery or extended family holiday.

Nut Free Lunchboxes

Curiosity is a 'Nut Free' Service which means that the following food items can not be sent to in the children's lunch boxes please.

  • Nutella
  • Muesli bar with nuts
  • Almonds
  • Cashews
  • Peanuts
  • Peanut butter

WOW Butter is an alternative soybean based product that resembles peanut butter and is an alternative for those children who like the taste.
