Prep Excursion to Myuna Farm

By Cassie Allison (Prep Teacher)

Last week on Thursday, the Preps had an excursion to Myuna Farm. After a cancellation earlier this year, they arrived at school bursting with excitement. The day was hot, 32 degrees! But after a lot of sunscreen, filling up our drink bottles and remembering our hats we were all ready to go.

We arrived at the farm and spent the day going on tractor rides, walking through trees of fruit bats, planting seeds and feeding animals. We learnt about how milk was made and even got to milk a goat ourselves. We saw lots of different animals from camels to deer, cows, rabbits, pigs, and so many more.

The students were fantastic, even in the extreme heat! It was a wonderful experience for all.

Year 3/4 Fun at Ninja Nation

By Ugo Torcasio (Year 3/4 Teacher)

Students were adventurous trying out swings, ramps to run up, ropes to climb, bags to punch, boards to push off, ladders to climb and heights to jump from. The full hour was non stop action as students were challenged by various levels of skill requirements. The problem solving and trial and error required was brilliant to see in action. Portia challenged Mr Torcasio to climb the second ramp. I took that challenge and conquered it with grace and strength!

By Eleanor Roberts (Art Teacher)

Please join us to celebrate another wonderful year of creativity in the art room and at home, and view the virtual Prep to Year 6 Art Show - please click the button below.

It goes for less than 5 minutes, and is well worth a look for a satisfying serve of cuteness and talent! Thanks to all the families for supporting your kids' art during the learning from home, we had a great time making art together over zoom, and as always we enjoyed exploring materials and techniques back in the art room at school. Enjoy your holidays and keep making time to be arty!
