2022 TEAM Program

Trinity Elite Athlete Mentoring

Whilst Trinity has a fantastic reputation for nurturing elite athletes who have gone on to represent their country or play at national level in various sporting competitions, the College is seeking to increase and develop its support of such athletes and help them balance the often-competing demands of their sporting commitments and study regime.

TEAM has been designed to support and facilitate elite and high-performing student athletes in balancing the demands of study and sport during their time at the College. Through the program, student athletes gain exposure to development opportunities, have access to performance aids, gain an understanding of key principles of training and are provided with the support networks necessary to help them in managing their many demands, in particular those related to their busy schedule of academic and sport related activities.

The program strives to provide a positive impact on student athletes and their personal well-being through the following:

  • Exposure to various development opportunities to assist with sustained participation.
  • Access to a support network of staff within the College who can assist in balancing academic demands with sporting commitments.
  • Access to College facilities which aid efficient and time effective training.
  • Access to support services which provide student athletes with pathway options post-graduation.
