P & C News

With the P&C AGM in 2 weeks on Thursday 17 March 2022 5:00pm, the time has come for the existing executive committee to hand over the reins and if we are unable to fill these positions the P&C will be unable to run.  All general memberships and executive positions (President, Vice President, Treasurer and Secretary) lapse at the AGM every year.

 

We are fortunate at Palm Beach State School to have a P&C Association and school administrators who take a consultative and cooperative approach.  If you would be interested in learning more about the executive positions and what is involved, please contact us at pandc@palmbeachss.eq.edu.au

 

As a parent of a student at our school, you are not automatically a member of the P&C.  To become a member you must first attend a general meeting and present your membership application form in person, which is approved at the end of that meeting.

This means that should an issue arise during the school year which you feel strongly about, and you are not yet a member, you will not be able to vote on the matter until you have attended a general meeting first… i.e. you will qualify to vote at your second meeting (the Annual General Meeting is the only meeting where a person may apply to become a member without being present)

 

We are seeking parents who are interested in donating some of their time and becoming a part of the process, please either join us at our next meeting, attend our AGM (or submit a membership application beforehand).  Membership form attached or are available from the uniform shop or by emailing pandc@palmbeachss.eq.edu.au.

Notice of Special Meeting

 

A special meeting will be held immediately before our AGM on Thursday 17 March 2022 - 4:50pm in the staff room to vote on donating $75, 000 to the school to be used for building a roof over the existing basketball court.
