DP Newsletter – Week 6

Parent/Teacher/Student Interviews 

Parent/Teacher/Student Interviews will be taking place on Tuesday the 22nd of March from 3:00pm – 7:00pm. At this stage, we are planning for face to face interviews, held in your child’s classroom. This will enable parents and staff to safely social distance and allow us to reconnect with you all! Information regarding booking an appointment with your child’s class teacher will be communicated next week. 

Term 2 Interschool Sport

Over the next few weeks we will be conducting trials (if required) for our Term 2 interschool sport teams. At this stage we will be offering Rugby League, Soccer and Netball as part of our interschool sport program. For those students who do not want to participate in Interschool Sport, we will be offering a variety of other school-based activities for Friday sport. More information regarding any costs associated with interschool sport teams will be communicated home over the next few weeks. 

Year 6 Overview

There is plenty happening with our Yr. 6 students at the moment so I thought it may be best to try and summarise all of the information in one spot:

Camp - Last week you would have received a note from your child’s teacher regarding the Year 6 camp next term to Elanda Point – Sunshine Coast. This is always a great experience for students and staff, with students coming back with new friendships and new skills. Please return your permission forms as soon as possible, as this allows us to begin with the finer planning stages such as organising activity groups and cabin groups. If you have any questions regarding camp, please contact your child’s class teacher. 

Senior Shirts – Our senior shirt order for the students has been finalised, ordered and should arrive early next term. We are looking forward to seeing the student's chosen design 😊

High School Information – As you would already be aware, the local high schools are communicating information about 2023 enrolment information sessions as well as excellence information/trials etc. We will continue to communicate this information with you when it comes to hand.
