Early Learning

In the Early Learning Centre, we have welcomed many new children to our Wombat, Ant, and Bee groups, and have been excited to see some familiar faces returning. We value the connections we have begun to make with children and their families, and look forward to more opportunities to get to know families throughout the year.

The children have been exploring the kinder learning space, establishing routines, and getting to know their teachers and others in their group. For many children, this is their first experience away from home in a formal educational setting. Children are supported to adjust to a new environment, make connections, and grow in confidence.

Some areas and activities that have been of particular interest to our kinder children are painting, finding treasure in the sandpit, box construction, playing with toy animals and dinosaurs, observing the fish, and creating their own obstacle courses.

It has been lovely to see lots of smiles and laughter as children discover the unexpected and take delight in their environment and in other people.

I am reminded of the phrase repeated in Genesis 1: "And God saw that it was good".

It is good to be at kinder, enjoying the space we have been blessed with, and learning about and exploring God’s world with the children.
