Some New Faces
Firstly thank you for the opportunity join and be an integral part of your learning community. My name is Martin Mielimaka and I am excited to take on the responsibility of supporting your students, staff and Justin as Acting Assistant Principal at Castlemaine Secondary College.
In doing so, I leave Tarneit Senior College also as an Assistant Principal where I was a founding staff member now over 10 years ago. I am a passionate educator with over 21 years experience within the government education sector and a vast array of experience prior to commencing teaching.
Having completed a Bachelor Degree in Technology/Design, I have had the opportunity of working in the private sector as an exhibition designer, specialising in motor car and trade show technology expos. I have also been a co director of a building company, and then later within the design profession as a graphic and website designer.
My initial teaching career driver was to develop and sell educational apps. In a dramatic turn of circumstance, I fell in love with teaching and have since been involved in leading significant change within each of the schools I have worked in with the intention of improving student and teacher outcomes.
I look forward to our time together at Castlemaine Secondary College with the hope of establishing some great relationships within your community and achieving some amazing outcomes with each of your students.
