Year 11 Product Design Projects

During Term 4, Unit 2 Product Design and Technology students were asked to find an end user from a member of staff and create a product that fulfilled a need or solved a problem for them.

Mr Hager needed a new shoebox to store all his shoes.

Ms Stavrou needed a wine rack to display her wine bottles.

Ms Barr needed a quilt to stay warm during the cold Melbourne winters.

The students consulted their end user throughout the process to ensure that their needs were met.

Year 12 Valedictory Dinner

This year’s Valedictory Dinner was a celebration of another amazing year for our students, and the first opportunity many of them had to dress up and really celebrate in a long time! 

On Wednesday 8 December, the Year 12 graduates, their friends, family, teachers and Principal team gathered at the beautiful Crown Palladium to celebrate the end of the students’ formal education.

Just a month earlier, the Coordinators were not sure where or even if the Valedictory dinner would run, but with the lifting of many restrictions we were able to book this amazing venue and finally see each-others’ smiling faces.   The festive air in the room was amazing with over 800 people celebrating such a unique 2 years of VCE. 

Many of the staff remarked that it seemed like a special Valedictory event where they celebrated even closer bonds with the students than ever before, despite the fact that we spent so long in lock down! This is a testament to how hard the students worked to overcome the obstacles thrown at them and to use the amazing resources of each and every one of our VCE teachers.

There were many inspiring efforts recognised through the awards and we would like to congratulate each and every one of our Graduates of 2021. 

In particular we would like to recognise our Valedictorians for 2021; Mackenzie Coakley and Brendan Kirk. Their contributions to numerous school activities and their exemplary efforts across all subjects both this year and across all of their time at Lilydale High, are a credit to these amazing young people. 

Year 11 Awards Ceremony

On Friday 10 December, the Year 11 students celebrated their achievements throughout the year with their Awards Ceremony. 

Congratulations to all students for making it through this busy and challenging year and welcome to Year 12! 

Well done to all of our award winners and a reminder that if you were not at the ceremony, the certificates and awards will be handed out to you at the beginning of next year.

We would like to acknowledge the fantastic efforts of our 'Female and Male Student of the Year', Angus Balsdon and Alesia Jensen. These students have been amazing this year both in their academic results and their willingness to participate and help their peers.

Accessing 2021 VCE Results 

VCE study scores, ATAR and VTAC Scaled Study Scores are available to Year 12 students via the Results and ATAR website and the Results and ATAR app.

Students will receive a statement of VCE study scores from the VCAA, and those who applied for courses through VTAC this year and have paid their VTAC processing fees, will be sent an ATAR statement in the mail.

The Senior School Coordination team extends our congratulations to all students on what has been a very challenging but ultimately rewarding year in VCE.  We are very proud of all our students who have shown great resilience and adaptability throughout this tough year.

To our Year 12 students, congratulations on completing your schooling at Lilydale High School, we wish you the best of luck for your future endeavours. Please drop in and see us sometime; we’d love to hear what you’re all up to post-secondary school.

To our Year 11 students, well done on your first year in VCE, we look forward to seeing you back next year as you move into Year 12. We hope you find some time to relax and recharge in readiness for your final year in high school.
