Traineeships!
The Victorian Apprenticeship Recovery Package (VARP) is funded by the Victorian Government and offers young people paid work experience in the Victorian Public Service/agencies or local government.
The program provides young people aged 15 to 24 with an opportunity to work for a minimum of 12 months while completing an accredited traineeship or apprenticeship. VARP aims to increase the participation of disadvantaged young people in the workforce, while assisting communities to meet future skill and employment needs.
Skillinvest is seeking expressions of interest for the following full time traineeships to work at Bairnsdale Secondary College:
- 1 x Receptionist (Certificate III in Business Administration)
- 2 x Learning Support Assistants (Certificate III in Education Support)
The traineeships are open to people aged 15-24 who:
- have a genuine interest in the role
- a willingness to learn and commit to work and study
- have strong communication and people skills
- have good computer skills
- have an eye for detail along with the ability to problem solve
- are willing to obtain a Working with Children Check
- meet vaccination requirements
