Meet Bethany Arena

What attracted you to becoming a teacher?

I really enjoy working with teenagers - especially getting to see the social, emotional and academic development that can happen over a mere year of journeying together. It always astounds me. I also love learning! To me, teaching seemed to be the best way I could combine these two passions.

What do you like to do in your spare time?

When I have time to spare, I love to enjoy a meal with family and friends. I also spend a lot of time down at the beach, reading books and finding interesting places to go on adventures!

What football team do you follow?

Essendon.

What is your favourite book or movie?

I've only seen it once, but I would have to say the 'Lion' is one of the best films I have seen.

Have you done anything special that you would like to share?

I got engaged at the end of last year, so my fiance and I are now preparing to be married in September. Pretty exciting!
