Sports Report

Please find attached to this newsletter the answers to the Sports quiz I put in last week’s edition. If you had a go with the family, please check to see how you went. There were some tough questions amongst them so anything above 50 per cent and you are doing well!

If you have been paying attention to the media during the last week you would know about some of the restrictions that have been eased elating to sport and according to the  “AIS framework for rebooting sport in a COVID-19 environment” document and also the latest advice from the Victorian Government. Unfortunately, with many state sporting organisations yet to announce how training sessions may resume, both local as well as school sport remains in limbo for the near future.

These documents and advice for the resumption of sport definitely give us some hope that come the beginning of Term Three we are likely to have training sessions and even may have potentially some sporting competitions and events to enjoy. I will pass on more information as I receive it.

Community sport is going to play a crucial role in supporting communities and students to emerge from this pandemic, to re-engage their social networks and prioritise their physical and mental well-being.
