Year 8 English is Rubbish! Literally!

Term 4 sees the Year 8 students turn their attention to sustainability and the film Wall-E. Students completed an on-line audit of sustainability before applying their thinking to solutions. Student teacher, Ms Taren Handley, got Year 8A to develop robots to combat ecological issues, making poster designs, then using rubbish,  build their ideal solution. Some students worked on them at home and incorporated items such as lights (and electric guitars?). Others collaborated to create mobile water tanks for timed showers, a robot to maintain your vegetable garden and a solar power oven for baking cookies! Students fully engaged in the task and one student even commented they found this a mindful activity! Check out the photos of their terrific robots.
