Armistice Centenary

Armistice Centenary Ceremony
On Thursday 8th November 2018, 40 of our student leaders represented the school along with the Principal Ms Pauline Barker and Acting Assistant Principal Mr Glenn Jenner by attending the Banyule Armistice Centenary Celebration. This unique commemoration established by the Banyule Council and five RSL’s had representatives from each of the 15 local schools attend a ceremony at Petrie Park in Montmorency. This event was established to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the end of World War One on the 11th November 1918.
Our incoming school Captains Angus Webb and Gabby Newton led the reading of the Remembrance and Lord’s Prayer respectively. Students all received a medallion to commemorate this occasion. The member for Eltham Vicki Ward and the Mayor of Banyule Mark DiPasquale also participated in this very important occasion.
