Term 2 KIDZ BIZ  FAMILY SESSIONS 

Tuesday 4th June 2019 // 6:40-7:30 (two sessions) // Tirkandi

The popular KidzBiz family sessions are back at LNPS for 2019. Designed to be fun, informative and easy to understand, these highly interactive sessions will provide students and their parents with an introduction to basic personal and social development education; traditionally known as the ‘facts of life’. Sessions will be facilitated in a manner that is not conducive to an awkward or threatening environment.

There are two sessions occurring on the night with the following topics:  

6:40-7:30pm Session 1: ‘Where Did We Come From’ (for Year 2 to Year 4 students)

• Basic Reproductive System
• 9 months of foetal development
• Myths about where babies come from
• The birth process
• Conception/fertilisation

7:40-8:30 pm Session 2: ‘What’s Happening To Us' (suitable for Year 5 to 7 students)

• Puberty (physical and emotional)
• Body image and media influences
• Reproductive system
• Getting along with parents

Writing Like a Reader, Reading Like a Writer - Reading and Writing at LNPS

The purpose of the evening will be to:

• showcase the quality teaching and learning at LNPS
• build parent understanding about reading and writing at LNPS
• develop the capacity of parents to support reading and writing beyond the classroom
