RRR Topic 7 and 8 Update:
Congratulations to our students, who have been engaging with our RRR curriculum with enthusiasm and thoughtfulness this term. Our observations are that our children have a strong sense of identity, a confidence to share their thoughts and to call out hidden bias with a commitment to building positive relationships, regardless of gender. We, as a staff, have been learning alongside our students and we thank Jodie Gates, who has led a number of professional development sessions to build our own understanding of gender identity and social drivers.
Below is an activity that really made us, as a staff, reflect on the language we use with not just our students, but with (or in front of) other people in our lives.
(***Please note, these activities have been taken from the secondary school curriculum and have not been used with our students).
