Over the next two days Sandy Darwin, an experienced Registered Nurse/Midwife within the area of Reproductive Sexual Health from RSH.ED (Reproductive Sexual Health Education) will be providing Puberty Education Sessions for our upper years students.

Day 1: Tomorrow the Year 6 students, Sandy Darwin will conduct two separate one and a  half and two hour Puberty Education Sessions, girls 9-11am and boys 11:30-1pm. The sessions will involve discussing puberty changes, anatomy & physiology of both male and female reproductive systems and reproduction.

Day 2: Thursday: The Year 5 and Year 4 female students session will cover the topic of Menstruation and discussions around anatomy of the female reproductive system, hygiene, demonstration of the sanitary products and importance of looking out for each other. This is an essential part of the school curriculum “Puberty” and it is a topic that needs to be explained and discussed. It is an inevitable process and will be approached and delivered in an age-appropriate manner.

Thursday 8th September we welcome back to our school the Bravehearts Personal Safety Program. The  Foundation - Year Three students will be learning valuable personal safety education that promotes self esteem and helps build resilience.
