We enjoyed PJ Day and The Book Week Parade!

3/4 Camp

Literacy

During Term 3 in Literacy, students have been exploring Myths, Legends and Dreamtime stories. They have been analysing character traits, settings, conflicts, solutions and meaning/moral. Students were exposed to a range of mythical and Dreamtime texts, and created many Dreamtime stories of their own by following the 5 stages of writing. Students used their 'Bump It Up' wall to self-assess and to build their skills in grammar and punctuation, spelling, ideas, language and revising. Students also explored the features of summarising fiction and non-fiction text. We are extremely proud of our students for achieving many of their reading and writing goals!

Numeracy

During Term 3 in Numeracy, students have been investigating how to use multiplication and division strategies. Students have been learning about the connections between arrays, repeated addition/subtraction, equal groups and number lines. Our Grade 4 student have been making real-life connections during their maths lessons and working in groups to solve worded problems.
