Screen Time
Screen time is the time spent each day using devices with screens, like TVs, video consoles, smartphones, iPads and tablets.
We know that children and youth spend a lot of time online and often use multiple devices. Many Concord School students are using a screen every day. At home screen time can also be an easy option to keep children occupied in our busy lives.
So how much screen time is too much for your child?
There is no magic guideline for the ‘right’ amount of time for children to spend online. This is a matter for you to decide—but there are guidelines that can help you in addition to factoring in the age of your kids, their maturity level and your family dynamics.
Recommended screen time
Under 2 years
Zero. Babies and toddlers should not watch any television or other electronic media (DVDs, computers and electronic games).
2 to 5 years
Less than one hour per day. Limit their time sitting and watching TV or using other electronic media to less than one hour per day.
5 to 17 years
Fewer than two hours per day. Limit their use of electronic media for entertainment (i.e. TV, computers and seated electronic games) to no more than two hours per day.

Bus Reminders
- Please contact the bus supervisor concerned directly if a morning pick up or afternoon drop off needs to be cancelled because of absence/illness etc.
- Please contact the school office and give at least 24 hours’ notice (unless there is an emergency) if the student’s travel arrangements are to be changed.
- Students are only permitted to travel on one bus. Exceptions may be made on a term by term arrangement providing there is sufficient capacity on both buses.
- The transport coordinator needs to be notified of any change of address at least 7 days prior to any bus change taking place
This will help a great deal with the smooth running of the buses.
