Positive Thinking

Thinking Positive

At Staughton College, we recognise the connection between wellbeing and academic success.  The Wellbeing team is here to enhance the social and emotional wellbeing of the school community.  We offer individual counselling, case management, student mediation and the delivery of various programs such as, Breathe, Drumbeat, Tomorrow’s Leaders Today and Building Connections; along with whole school health promotion activities such as, the Breakfast club, RU OK day, IDAHOBIT day and Mental Health Week.  We work closely with external services, including our visiting psychologist, and agencies to ensure our students and their families receive the best support.

The Wellbeing team can also organise various professional development topics relevant to staff meetings.

Students can self-refer by visiting the Wellbeing Office. Parents and Guardians can make referrals by contacting the Wellbeing Team and requesting that their child be seen by a Wellbeing staff member.
