First Lego League – National Final at Swinburne

On Sunday 18th November, two teams from MGC competed in the First Lego League State Finals. Space Troubles and Anti-Gravity Legoed-it-out with 35+ teams from around Victoria. The teams demonstrated their projects, core values, robotic programming and robots themselves to a panel of judges.

Our teams did very well and Anti-gravity won the Inspiration Award, demonstrating to the judges that they had been inspired by the values of the First Lego League more than any other team.

Space Troubles won an award in the preceding regional event at MGC, so both teams did exceptionally well but weren’t chosen to proceed to Sydney to compete for a place in the international event.

Our Lego teams will start practising for next years competition in Term 1, if you want to come along and start practising, we’ll see you in the STEAM room.
