Principal's Report

Principal's Report

I would like to pay tribute to the outstanding work of our teaching and education support staff. They have shown enormous resilience, care and expertise in totally changing how they work. They have put our students at the centre of everything they are doing. I am very grateful for what they are doing for our Staughton Family.

We have a strong leadership program in the school that is distributed across many areas of student interest.  Student Leaders have been a key part of keeping our community connected at this time through regular posts on our Facebook page. The most recent examples were the virtual transition tour hosted by junior leaders, and Thon’s ‘Spell Your Name’ exercise challenge. Follow our Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/staughtoncollege/

We have been encouraged by the large numbers of students who have continued to persevere by engaging in online classes. Please continue to encourage students to communicate with teachers, ask questions and submit work. Teachers will be pragmatic and use common sense when assessing student learning and attendance over this whole period. We are here to support you all.

Child Saftey

Our school focus on learning, effort and respect lived through our motto of try persevere achieve are underpinned by an understanding that Child Safety is a paramount responsibility of the school community. Staughton College has a number of guiding policies regarding Child Safety on our web site located at http://www.staughtoncollege.vic.edu.au/administration/.

Please take some time to make yourself aware of these and contact the school should you have any concerns regarding Child Safety.

We, at Staughton College, would like to show our respect and acknowledge the traditional custodians of the land on which our school is situated, of elders past and present. We extend a warm welcome to everyone who visits our school.
