CAMP

I ran onto the cold but soft sand, with runners on. The clouds were layered so perfectly with the orange and pink sky as the sun was getting ready to set. As the cool breeze blew past my face it made me shiver and tingle a little. I could hear the waves roaring and crashing down like a small herd of elephants. When my friends were doing gymnastic tricks some water splashed into my mouth, the water was as cold as ice with a taste of seaweed and salt. The more I walked the more little grains of sand stuck in my shoe. The feeling was itchy and gross, it was like thousands of salts having a party in your shoe. I enjoyed the rest of the peaceful walk then went back to camp.

As I walked across the beach I shoved my hand into the soft sand as my shoes sunk in. I continued my walk then all of a sudden, ¨Shh, Crash!¨ The smashing of the waves gave me a sudden fright. During the end of the walk two dogs barking at the giant group of kids to them looked like giants, children were screaming, seaweed and shells were scattered across the sand. While walking I smelt the disgusting odour coming from the rotting cuttlefish skeleton, while accompanied by the strong, salty smell from the water. The air near the water tasted weird as I sucked the air, it tasted like two tonnes of salt.

I can hear the children excitedly screeching, it is almost erroneous how excited we all are. The water is splashing as if it is trying to jump out of the pool to which it is contained. I can smell the strong scent of salt wafting towards me as I walk past the touch tank, the strong taste of salt bombarding my face. I can see the fish happily swimming around in the tanks, I wonder, are they really happy? I can feel the prickly feel of the sea urchin and the slimy and smooth feel of the sea snail.
