Hygiene

Hygiene guidelines

Most important:  if a student is sick (even a little bit) they must NOT come to school.

Any student who becomes unwell during the day will be immediately placed in an isolation room until their parents are able to collect them.

  • There are soap and hand driers/paper towel dispensers in all toilets and bottles of hand sanitiser in several key places around the school.

  • Every staff member will have a bottle of sanitiser for them to use themselves and supervise the use by students in class. Students are encouraged to also have their own bottles of sanitiser.

  • There will be an extra cleaner in the school all day regularly cleaning the toilets and high use items like door handles and desk tops.

  • Students in practical classes will use the sanitiser and paper towel that is provided before and after use of each piece of equipment.

  • All students are expected to have their own pens, rulers, textbooks, computer and charger, stationery, calculators, certain art items etc to minimise the need to borrow.

  • All students are expected to bring their own water bottles (which can be refilled during the day). Drinking taps have been turned off.
