The 100 Club

It is with much pleasure and anticipation that we introduce our new incentive based program, to encourage and reward student effort in achieving an attendance rate of 100%. This incentive program will be known as The 100 Club.

This program is designed to inspire students to strive toward 100% attendance throughout their secondary school journey and to also reward those students who achieve that milestone for each year of their enrolment at Staughton College. A student can only achieve a 100% attendance for the year, by first ensuring their attendance is 100% for Semester 1.

There is no condition of ‘genuine attendance’ or having no adjusted attendance. Our expectation around attendance is to see every student, every day they are required to be at school. This includes class, year level and whole school activities and excursions; for example swimming or athletics carnivals or the year 10 VicRoads programs. We also understand that ‘life happens’ and sometimes we are sick or circumstances prevent us from being where need to be.

100% attendance can be achieved by being at school when required and timetabled or by using the structures already in place such as homework club (HWC) or the work and attendance recovery program (WAR), designed to assist and allow students to make up for an absence.

Should any situation arise that requires a student to be absent, please call us first on the absence line 9743 5061 and advise us of the absence. Once back at school, attend HWC or WAR to make up attendance. A medical certificate is required if the absence prevents the student from sitting a SAC or any assessment.

Each year level will be awarded a different colour badge. This also provides an extra incentive for students to ‘collect’ a full set of attendance colours for the 6 years they are at Staughton College. For students that achieve the full set of six badges; they will be awarded with a ‘gold’ badge, a certificate of acknowledgement and a voucher of some value which is to be confirmed.
