Year 6 Camp

On 15 September, the Year 6 students went on a 3 day camp to Nanga Bush Camp in Dwellingup. They stayed in cabins and completed many fun activities. They did rock climbing, zip lining, flat water rafting, raft building and fun night time activities. One of the night time activities was a newspaper outfit competition where groups of 4-6 people had to make an outfit from newspaper and tape! There was a lot of rain over the 3 days but that didn’t dampen anyone’s spirits and added to the adventure. Everyone had a great time!

Music Concert

On Tuesday, 21 September, we held our now annual music concert to help celebrate Well-Being Week. It was our biggest, most ambitious and entertaining concert to date. After an Acknowledgement to Country, the whole school sung “Little Talks” by Of Monsters and Men. We then had the first of our five piano soloists, Gabe, followed by the Senior Choir singing the round C-O-F-F-E-E and the sea shanty Wellerman. Teddy and Charlie played piano, then the Xylophone Club took to the stage with special guests Sarafina and her dad Shane. To finish, Anousha and Theo played piano and the whole school sang “Starman”.

All performers received huge applause for their amazing and polished performances, and we have already started thinking about what we could possibly work on for next year’s concert.

See you next year!
