VCAL

Katie Johnston & Sally Tatterson

All school kids have been hit hard with remote learning over the last 18 months or so, and our VCAL students are not least amongst them. A huge part of the VCAL program is connecting with our wider community and this has been made so difficult alongside a global pandemic. However, this year students have managed to establish a social enterprise which is self-sustaining, environmentally conscious, and aims to benefit our local community.  The idea was to establish a business that created products that emanated from our brand-new kitchen garden and then showcase these to the wider community via an ‘Expo’. Covid restrictions have made this event next to impossible, so the next best thing is to show you all what they have been working on, in and out of lock downs over the past 8 months on our social media! Over the next week we will be featuring different products every day. All products are handmade and a portion of the proceeds go to our chosen local charity, A Better Life for Foster Kids. We will be set up to take your orders on Friday, thanks for your support!

VCAL lolly bags raising money for a local charity. Lolly bags were $2.50

and sold at recess and lunch in the bus shelter.
