This month has been an exciting week for the Wattle Space Seeds experiment. 40 students from Years 7 to 11, who have volunteered to be a part of the experiment, were involved in the preparation and planting of our Golden Wattle seeds. We scarified, soaked and planted 6 Earth Seeds and 6 Space Seeds into the approved seedling starter kit. Since planting day on 11th November, students have been checking the seeds each day, recording the date of germination and measuring the height and number of leaves of each seedling as they grow.

As of early December (20 days after planting), we have had three space seeds and three earth seeds germinate.
