Academic Care and Wellbeing

We welcome students back to Term 4 and feel optimistic about a full term of face to face learning.

In Term 4 we change to our College Summer uniform which includes hats for all outdoor activities. If you need some guidance regarding uniform, please visit our website or the student CANVAS hub for more information including images and a price guide for the Uniform Shop. During Level 3 COVID settings parents can order online and collect items from the Uniform Shop. If it is necessary to visit the Uniform Shop for a student to try on an item for sizing, an appointment must be pre-booked. Please contact the College office for details.

Our thoughts and prayers continue for Darcey Campbell and his family. Year 9 student Taylor Smythe is hoping to raise money for children’s cancer research by participating in the Great Cycle Challenge Australia.  Taylor has already ridden over 100 kilometres and if you'd like to support her in this great cause please follow this link

For our Year 7 2022 students, make a note that our Orientation Day will be held on Friday 3 December and for all our new Year 8-11 students 2022 your Orientation day will be held on Friday 26 November.  We can’t wait to welcome you!

Letters are being sent to all new students regarding the format of the Orientation days.

Instagram and Young People’s Mental Health - Tips For Parents

As a parent you’re most likely very familiar with the Instagram app - most of our students use this app regularly and you’ve probably also been hearing about it in the news recently.

In an official report released, Facebook admitted to knowing that Instagram is harmful to teen girls’ body image and well-being.  We’ve been working with students this year to better understand how to navigate these apps, identifying concerning situations or behaviors, and proudly partnering with the Safe On Social Schools Toolkit for up to date, marketing leading resources and training for our staff, students - and you - our valued parent community.

To help provide a few quick tips on keeping Instagram boundaries clear for your child we wanted to share this quick video by Safe On Social CEO, Kirra Pendergast.
