Year 10 Transition

We are at that point in the year when our Grade 10 students are preparing for the next phase in their learning journey. Transition from high school provides new and exciting opportunities as our young men embark on senior studies, training and apprenticeships. Many are approaching this next phase in their journey with eagerness and enthusiasm. However, we recognise during this time there is a lot of change and for some students this may be challenging. The student welfare team are currently working with all Year 10 students to support them and their future pathway during this time. Please do not hesitate to get in contact with your son’s Pastoral Care Teacher or Head of House if you have any concerns or questions about the transition process.

Last week Year 10 students received the Exam Study to inform their exam study and revision. I encourage all students to start preparing now as exam week will quickly be upon them. To assist with this study techniques will be the focus of our next Grade 10 Welfare session. Please see below study tips students can start to implement now:

Year 10 Events

  • Tuesday November 16 - Tuesday November 23 - Year 10 Exams
  • Wednesday November 24 - OVA Mass, Awards Assembly, Leavers Dinner
  • Thursday November 25 - Thanksgiving Liturgy and Last Day

I would like to remind Grade 10s, that if there are any issues with their uniform, then this needs to be rectified now in preparation for Formal Exams and Leavers' Week.

Grade 7 2022 Orientation Day

As we say goodbye to one cohort, we prepare for a new one to begin. Transition meetings have been taking place over the last few weeks with our Catholic Primary schools and this week communication was sent home to families in regards to Year 7 Orientation Day which is taking place Monday November 29. We look forward to welcoming 2022 Year 7 students to St Virgil’s College Senior Campus on the day and getting to know them.
