During the second round of remote learning HaPE staff have continued their great work producing new materials and adapting the old for Google Classrooms. More online assessment is occurring through Google Forms and other assignments set up in Google Classrooms. The ability to continually monitor student progress has allowed our teachers to check student work and provide timely feedback to students and parents.

Students are still expected to be completing practical activity at home and to record this with their teachers. It’s important to be active, it helps energise students as well as releasing any stress or anxiety that they may be feeling at this time. This could be going for a 20-30 minute walk, kicking the footy, or completing a YouTube yoga or no equipment workout. Many suggestions have been provided to students by the HaPE staff.

I encourage all students to maintain, or try to improve engagement, with their online learning and also to use lesson time effectively as we move towards the end of this remote learning period.
