NAPLAN
A reminder that in Week 3, Tuesday 15 May through to Thursday 17 May, NAPLAN testing will be taking place in Years 3 and 5. NAPLAN (National Assessment Program for Literacy and Numeracy) is a federally mandated assessment administered Australia-wide during this week and children in these year groups will sit the tests on the following days:
- Tuesday (Language Conventions and Writing)
- Wednesday (Reading)
- Thursday (Numeracy)
Whilst it is only one assessment and a snapshot of your child’s progress, we encourage parents to please have their children at school, well-rested and alert to allow them the best opportunity to succeed. All assessments will take place in the morning.
ICAS Testing Dates
We have had an overwhelming response to ICAS Testing for 2018. Listed below are the test dates for ICAS subjects.
- Science - Tuesday 29 May
- Spelling - Wednesday 13 June
- Writing - Thursday 14 June
- English - Tuesday 31 July
- Mathematics - Tuesday 14 August
