GIGS ON THE SCREEN

It has been an amazing time watching the students’ artistic development occur over the last few months, and I have loved the privilege of presenting the videos to you each newsletter.

This fortnight I have great pleasure in presenting:

PERFORMANCES

It is so pleasing to see instrumental performances taking place in these very different times.

Congratulations to Arjun Jivanjee, Louisa D'Ambra, Jennifer Hoang and Alex Kuehn, all from Mr West’s group G class, for their work in the Cha Cha Cha Lesson by JJ Garcia.

Thank you to Mr West for playing the baritone saxophone for this performance, and for compiling the video.

Congratulations to all the brass students who took part in the first act of the Brass Night 2020 on Friday 6 November.  It was terrific to see so many students having worked so hard to get their parts right for the virtual performance. I am looking forward to Act 2 in the near future. Thank you to Ms Tracy Videon and to Mr Dmitry Serebrianik for their amazing work for this night time performance.

Thank you and congratulations to the amazing Year 11 Music Performance class who made their debut at the online General Assembly on Monday 9 November. Their performance of Little Black Submarine, by The Black Keys, was fantastic and highly appreciated by the many of us who have missed live performance.

Congratulations to James Vassiliou who sang the National Anthem at the same assembly, accompanied by their class teacher, Mr Baltazar Kurowski.

A reminder that the Music Centre will be closed each day by 4:30pm.
