Grade 6 Electives

The year 6 teaching team have offered students a range of Electives to provide choice, boost engagement and interest around passions.  Students have been engaging in projects around:

Anyone can learn computer science! Using the tutorials available on code.org as a framework, learn programming concepts, computational thinking, and develop problem-solving skills and persistence. Along the way, you can create computer programs including interactive games and creative projects you can share.

This course requires access to a desktop, laptop or Chromebook since iPads are not compatible.

The examples below show successful dance sequences using block coding.  This code should take you to the point where you click ‘Run’ and you can see their selected avatar dance the moves they coded.
